Here are some of the things clients have said about my work, I hope to add your own comments before too long.
Julie
I can’t get my head around all that you found, can you do my husband’s family too?
Julie lives in Cornwall and she and her husband are still telling anybody who will listen how pleased they are with their family history. Her daughter is rather pleased that I didn’t do it before she was born as she doesn’t fancy being named Tryphena after her mum’s great great granny
Jean
Hello Kevin, thank you for your note yesterday. I really cannot believe how you found Barbara for me. I’m over the moon. What an achievement. So Barbara has asked me to go and see her for a few days. She frequently goes to a restaurant called The Noisy Lobster, and I have been there with my friend when holidaying there. Such a small world, as we say. Barbara also sings in a choir, as I do, and her late father was head chorister at Southwark Cathedral, so she, like me, has inherited the love of music from our parents. I am looking forward to visiting her and we have plenty to talk about. All comes about because of your hard work and talent, for which I am so grateful. I will let you know how we get on in October.
Jean lives in Essex and asked me to try to find her cousin, Barbara, who she hadn’t seen since she was at primary school – she was 88 when we met
Mark
I simply cannot believe the detail that you have found and all told in an informative and often amusing way, thank you.
Mark lives in the UK and now knows he has relatives across the world
Brian
I am writing to thank you for all your hard work in bringing my family history together; the amount of time you must have put in to get it all together is very much appreciated.
Brian lives in the UK and is in his 80’s; he too now knows of relatives across the globe.
Ben
Brilliant thank you!
Definitely let’s go on new lines, can you just update this as we do?
Have you ever produced it as a book? So when we run out of places to go produce it as a book?
Ben lives in the UK and has found out much about his family from a series of Family Stories that he wants me to collate into a book – the “this” he refers to is a digital family tree that I did of direct line ancestors. If he ever tries to print it he will have to find a printer with a piece of paper around 3 metres long and 60cm high.
Barbara
Thank you so much! It is such a fantastic gift! I can’t thank you enough.
Barbara is 91 years of age, her family clubbed together to buy a set of Introductory Packages across her four grandparent’s family lines.
Julie
Hi Kevin sorry for the late reply I’ve been visiting my daughter, thank you for all the info on my mums side, we have booked a trip to Ireland to Dunleckney & Galway in December, we are gonna start to save money after Xmas to go Canada hopefully next September as mum wants to visit jasper where her dad was laid to rest that was the main reason I contacted you as my mum wanted that gap filled. Thank you once again for everything.
Julie wanted me to try and find out what happened to her grandfather in Canada after her mum lost contact with him aged just 4 in 1949, as you can see I succeeded.
Jane
During a casual conversation with my lifelong family friend Kevin Wilkinson, and not knowing at the time that he had developed an interest in genealogy, I mentioned that I had almost no knowledge of my mother`s life or ancestry. Indeed, what little I did know was mysterious and contradictory.
Kevin made some notes and went away to look into it. The result was a masterpiece of research, revelation and presentation, in the form of a 400-page bound volume, which I and my family will treasure.
Jane lives in the UK and I found ancestors and records of her family from India, Australasia, the USA and Canada as well as the UK
John
In the descriptive text Kevin has added his own commentary on how some of the discoveries were made, which indicate the depth of his investigations and the excitement of a successful find. Also we get an idea of the society and conditions in which the people lived and in the case of locations, what they look like today. Evidence is backed up by certified copies of births, marriages and deaths, census data and parish records.
John lives in the UK and his voyage of discovery included the USA as well as the UK
Susan
My son in law, who is a journalist, was amazed at the depth of research and the incisiveness and wit of your writing, I think he is slightly jealous!
Susan’s Family Story also took in India, Australasia and North America.
Zoom
WOW! I have no idea how you have been able to put this all together. AND, you probably have no idea how much enjoyment that you have given me.
From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
Zoom is an American gentleman and his great grandmother was born in Cornwall,UK and like so many Cornish people when the mining industry collapsed her parents left the area and emigrated to America when she was 4. I traced her family back into the 1500’s in Cornwall
Newman
Again, I have spent an entire afternoon and evening looking into my past. I now have a good feeling where in Ireland my grandmother’s roots are found. As I mentioned in the very beginning, I remember her traveling back to her roots in Ireland. What I’ll probably never know is whether she traveled to County Mayo, County Louth or both. Regardless, I now know that should I be able to make my way to Ireland, I must visit Westport, Islandeady, Drogheda, Balbriggan, Lusk, Dunleer, Oughaval, Aghagower, et al.
I will never be able to pay you back for the joy and excitement that you have brought me. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Newman lives in Florida, USA. I have researched all the lines in his family and that has included England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany and Switzerland – such is the size of the work that I have done for him I have included another couple of quotes from his emails
Well, you did it again. I just completed my read of the McIntyre line. It boggles my mind where you find all the detail that you present. Amazing!
Most interesting to me was the clear line back to Scotland. Greenock is now on my list of places that I must visit before I die.
Again, I must extend my sincere appreciation for all your hard work in writing such a detailed history of my ancestors. You are amazing!
Must dash! Again, I have lots to do that waited until I completed my read of the McIntyre history.
Newman adding Scotland to his bucket list
Well this is the best yet! I will forever be indebted to you for what you have provided.
Newman after he discovered his German/Swiss ancestry
